all you people who say this is fraud then why do i feel depressed for NO reason for up to days and then i feel really angry for no reason and then happy? Hmmm that’s not freaken pueperty!! I’m only 12 and your saying all these crap things like how this is fake but you don’t know how it feels to have it so just shut the fuck up.
I remember wishing I was dead and that I was never born as young as three. I used to envy kids with cancer and terminal illnesses. Bipolar wasn’t a known term back then let alone in kids.
vvvv douchebag
@godsplan4thechildren
try finding a few books about ADHD and reading them and learning all thre classic symptoms and reading a few books on Bipolar. If you clearly didn’t see the difference after that than maybe you need a head checking.
@godsplan4thechildren
right because people with ADHD go from being euphoric NOT hyper, to deep depression and wanting to commit suicide. GOOD Game GOOD game, you fail, GOOD game.
bipolar is a fraud. ADHD fraud.
@dihle12
You sound well informed and intelligent. I think I’ll trust you over my personal experience and the field of science. After all, scientific outlooks are overrated.
On a serious note, how arrogant are you to believe you have all the answers, despite what the brightest researches have to say? The government makes no money off lithium. It costs $25 a month, no insurance. It’s just a mineral.
i have a girlfriend with a mental health disoroder and she is a medications for it she has erratic behaviors/ mood swings and depression and i was woundering how would it affect a baby would it be bad? because i wanna find the best why to help her
pull your head out of your ass, its not 1932 anymore. its always easy to just say to grow up isnt it?
talking bout depression at 14 yrs old crap thats called puberty and immaturety grow up and as for the parents start looking after ur kids as should instead of making excuses
bi polar and adhd are crap money making by the goverment and drug companies stop giving children meds its not helping its child abuse
I was morbidly depressed starting at about 14 but wouldn’t be diagnosed with mania until about 23. The problem is that anti-depressants don’t work and so I would imagine many teen suicides come in with this undiagnosed. They don’t want to diagnose a child with it because of the “stigma”. It’s wrong not to seek out a proper diagnosis including bipolar.
I remember wishing I was dead and envining kids with terminal illnesses as young as three. I had extreme mood swings too. I got diagnosed with Asperger’s syndrome instead of bi polar.
Psychological problems at times stem from ones environment/ surroundings. Nature Vs. Nurture is a good theory to study. A good support system at home is the key in many cases. My nephew was told he was ADHD and we opted for a change and worked with him instead of putting him on medications. He is doing well and doesnt have any behavioral problems. If we would have put him on meds he would probably still act the same. Im against medications for young kids. America is over-medicated in my opinion
I agree, many children as young as 3 are given medications to treat them, but are they really being treated, and how sure are doctors about this. How do we know its not a behavioral problem. Its best to ask for a second or third opinion. Being manic/bipolar is the third level of depression, how many episodes/mood disorders can kids at a young age have. I think they are just tantrums, and can be treated w/out medications. They tend to get dependent on these medications once they stop they suffer
To meet criteria for Pediatric bipolar, does a child have to be talking about dying or wanting to die at the age of 3 or toddler age? Or is this just the case for some of the bipolar children?
Um, excuse me down there! but childhood bi-polar disorder DOES exist,
because i was diognosed at 13, ( a few months ago) it started out as me (at 12) Depression-smoken, drinken, self harming, never sleeping, hardly eating, mood swings & sucide thoughts.
Manic-New ideas, talking rapidly, thinking i was the queen, always had 2 do something, binge eating & spending ALOT of money, i once spent £55 on sweets!
There is kids like me put there living with this horrible mental illness!

Childhood bipolar disorder does not exist. It is a fictional diagnosis that does not appear in the DSM-IV. If anyone tells you that your child has bipolar disorder, I would ask for a second or third opinion. Probably, it is some physician who is a puppet for pharmaceutical companies who have him or her paid off.
yes. go see a therapist. they can accurately diagnose you.
I dont know if im bipolar or not……..can any one help
I am glad the film help you.
