I have asthma, and am allergic to cats, I really want one, and my doctor it would be alright, if I take allergie shot once a month.

I’m allergic to cats (and other things, too). I take Zyrtec. I have three cats – no problem!
i think i could handle once a month shots. if i have a bad allergy attack i take some claritin and put a hot wash cloth on my face and/or take a steamy shower
A lot of times the allergy is actually to pet dander. There are several special shampoos you can get for your cat to help. You can also get an anti allergen air filter for your home. Both can be purchased at your local walmart.
My brother has asthma, and we had two cats
if you exercise a lot you can get over it
we cycle and he got over it after a while,
and it helps build a strong immune system
he wasn’t allergic, but think about it
isn’t the love of a cat worth a little pain once in a while?

Im allergic to cats, I have two of them. I havent taken allergy meds or shots for 10 years, but I did take shots about once a month for about 8 years.
it just depends on your intensity. try fostering a cat from the humane society to see how it affects you.
well my BFF has a lot of friends that are allergic, so they got a ragdoll cat. They are so cute and good for allergies. They are independent and playful. go to this pic.

I have the exact same problem, only I wanted a dog. I take allergy shots once every two weeks and it really pays off! Now I’m getting the puppy of my dreams in a month(:
I highly suggest you take Zyrtec and the allergy shots.

i will agree with the first answer. i also take zyrtec and have two cats. i have severe allergies and cant really let my babies sleep in the bed with me and if i didn’t have the zyrtec, i’d be in trouble. but it’s no too bad. i don’t think bad allergies will ever go away 100%, but you can deal with it easy and make sure you take the shots as directed by your doctor. good luck!!!
I am allergic to fur but dogs have hair ( hair and fur are TOTALLY different ) so i just don’t have them in my face and bam i’m just fine
i am allergic to cats and i got one the way i deal with it is a lot of house cleaning no carpets and they say not to let the animal where you sleep but i let mine i just wash my blankets often and if my allergy kicks in i take Tylenol allergy and seems fine to me i am dealing with it had him for 8 years now and i am still breathing…lol
Just take the once a month shots. It won’t be any harm and if you really want one then it’ll be no problem to take the shots once a month.
