They can still get pleasure from penetration, and from pleasing their husbands.

Not true. A castrated man cannot reproduce, and he lacks his natural hormones. Neither statement is true of a woman or girl who has lost her clitoris and labia.

  3. o0portal0o says:

Cutting off your clitoris is just as bad or worse than cutting off one of your limbs or breasts.

Disgusting. I am sure MGM can cause complications but it is not as dangerous as cutting off the clitoris and labia. Just as bad as castration. The percentage of infection is insanely high. Not to mention the deaths that happen. I am against both MGM and FGM though. You have body parts for a reason.

Removing the clitoris is equal to cutting off the head of a man’s penis. If that is done to a man there is NO sex. For a woman there is no desire but she still has a hole that can be penetrated. Sex is uncomfortable with lack of desire & no lubrication and no feelings but she exists to please the man nothing more. The circumcised man loses some sensation but still has a lot left they still love sex. IF the woman is infibulated husband cuts her open on wedding night. Very painful.

  5. ELSOL102 says:

Circumcision is wrong. Men lose some sensation but they still are able to have passion and pleasure. The women who have their clitoris removed have no desire for their husband their desire has been removed. The infibulation is really horrible because the is opened on her wedding night and sex is painful and complications follow her for her lifetime, urine/blood retention, childbirth problems, infection. The woman is there to please husband and make babies but she has NO sexual feelings left

I said ‘most’, not all. Obviously there are more complications experienced when birthing is concerned. It’s not an ability men share. I am just personally tired of the way MGM gets sidelined as being a harmless little snip, when it has infact adversely affected so many men’s lives. In America, a female child’s genitals are protected from so much as a pin prick -a practice observed by some Indonesians- yet boys are still subjected to full foreskin amputation. It’s a nasty double standard.

    Just to let you know.
I am against MGM and FGM. I don’t think either are right.

  8. ntrelief5277 says:

The death rate among babies during and immediately after birth is also much higher for those born to mothers with FGM: 15% higher in those with FGM I, 32% higher in those with FGM II plus the heavy bleeding afterword can put her health at risk.
Fgm complications after the surgury can include bacterial infection, urine retention, cysts,
infertility, open sores in the genital region and injury to nearby genital tissue. The possiable death of your child due to FGM how is this comparable to MGM?

  9. Sambucca says:

Most of the consequences of Type 1 and 2 FGM can be translated into a consequence of foreskin removal. Men with too much skin removed can have uncomfortable erections, deformations of the penis and sex is painful or less.pleasurable. Boys in Africa are often circumcised by people who are not of a medical profession, with unclean utensils putting them at serious risk of infection.

  10. ntrelief5277 says:

    Most severe type is.
    Type III
excision of part or all of the external genitalia and stitching or narrowing of the vaginal opening, also known as infibulation. This is the most extreme form and constitutes 15 per cent of all cases. It involves the use of thorns, silk or catgut to stitch the two sides of the vulva. A bridge of scar tissue then forms over the vagina, which leaves only a small opening (from the size of a matchstick head) for the passage of urine and menstrual blood.

  11. ntrelief5277 says:

No type 1 and 2 are not the most severe kinds type 3 is the most severe. Type 1 and 2 account for 85 percent of all circumcisions that take place. Look at the risks again 85% of all circumcisions that take place are type one and two. The ones ive mentioned if I was refering to the most severe there would be more risks added.

  12. Sambucca says:

Again you are talking about the most severe kinds of FGM. Some cultures only remove prepuce and/or labia minora. This does not disrupt normal genital function. The reason I feel it necessary to argue is because all forms of FGM are illegal in the developed world, yet male circumcision, which has impeded the sex lives of many men today, is considered acceptable.

  13. ntrelief5277 says:

    Type I FGM
When this procedure is performed a portion of or all of the clitoris and surrounding tissues may be removed. It can make for longer birth’s not enough skin to streach during labor.urinary tract infection dirty instruments.EXC

  14. ntrelief5277 says:

    W.H.O Categorization
    Type II: Excision
Excision refers to clitoridectomy (removal of the prepuce and the clitoris) plus the partial or total removal of the labia minora, the inner lips of the vulva.Type II more extensive form than Type I due to the sewing together of the leftover labia minora epidermis, which contains sweat glands, a buildup of sweat and urine in the closed off space beneath this closure can lead to urinary infection, septicemia, hemorrhaging and cyst formation.

  15. Sambucca says:

Female circumcision does not necessarily mean removal of the clitoris and stitching up of the vagina. There are many forms of FGM and infibulation, the most severe kind, is actually the least common. Some girls only get their clitoral hoods and labia minora cut off, which is akin to removing the forekskin in the male. The point is ALL forms of genital cutting are bad, unless that person chooses to have it done of their own free will.

  16. netrelief says:

    To Legalize Female Circumcision:
When have you ever heard of a circumcised boy suffering from these Complications recurrent bladder and urinary tract infections,Abscesses, dermoid cysts, and keloid scars(hardening of the scars).
infertility, shock, haemorrhage, or bacterial infection

  17. acpren says:

When males are circumcized, it is skin only that is removed. In female circumcision, the removal of a sexual organ is nothing short of cruel.

  18. legalizefemalecirc says:

    Circumcised women are better!

It’s not fair that we can circumcise our boys, but not our daughters. It’s a double-standard! Don’t be sexist!

    Legalize Female Circumcision!!!
